Regular Activities

Meditations and Recollections

Mirrabooka offers a weekly meditation for University/Tertiary Education students on Thursday nights at 8:15pm conducted by Fr Sam Fancourt, followed by a get-together, except for the third Thursday of the month, where a recollection is done instead. Please note that on the since we have a barbecue on the second Thursday of the month, meditation is moved earlier at 7:15pm.

Recollections are best explained as an abbreviated retreat, a recollection allows one to take a step back from the hustle and bustle of daily life, so as to renew one’s relationship with God. It also offers the opportunity to reassess and renew resolutions and bring a fresh outlook for living well. Recollections are approximately 2 hours in length and include: a talk on Christian life, prayer led by a priest, benediction and opportunity for confessions.
