Year 7
Our study and mentor programs use OptimalWork.com to help the boys work at their best, at will. Incredibly, the teachings of St Josemaria Escriva align perfectly with the ‘neuroscience based principles’ of OptimalWork.com
Mirrabooka Frontier Club
The Mirrabooka Club is an initiative of a number of dads and mentors that provides a formative environment for their boys which echoes the positive atmosphere and values of their own family homes. At Mirrabooka, we work with parents and the boys themselves in three areas:
- Human virtues – helping boys to take study seriously; to want to do things well out of a sense of mission to serve and help others; to learn to use their freedom-responsibly, to be honest, cheerful and resilient. There are many other virtues which we try to help foster in the boys.
- In their relationship with others – by being a good friend, son, brother, etc…In their relationship with God - as they mature, teaching them to have a personal relationship with God through silent prayer, the Sacraments of Mass and Confession, and spiritual direction.
The Year 7 Club is organised by a few dads with the assistance of university students and senior high school boys. It occurs every Friday afternoon during the school term.

Mentoring
Our one-on-one mentoring program aims to help students to formulate concrete goals to help them develop in their spiritual life and their academics through the cultivation of virtues. Through this, we aim to help young men apply Christian faith to their daily lives and work.
